A Graduate of the Institute of Export and Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Peter’s career started in the export shipping department of Courtaulds plc, before joining his family's freight forwarding company, D H Ward (Shipping) Ltd, where he became Managing Director. In 1994 he masterminded the Company's merger with American-owned Fritz Companies, which under his leadership became a top-five forwarder in Europe prior to acquisition by UPS in 2001. Air Cdre Mark Gilligan is the Air Officer for Engineering and Logistics, in the Headquarters of the Royal Air Force. His role also incorporates the A4 Force Cdr and the Chief Air Engineer to the Senior Duty Holder. 

Born in the west of Scotland in the days of steam, Gilligan gained a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde in 1985 prior to his joining the Royal Air Force in 1987. Following early tours in engineering support and front-line Tornado F3 maintenance, he achieved a MSc in Guided Weapons from Cranfield University to prepare for an armaments test and evaluation role. 

Promoted to sqn ldr, he remained at Boscombe to run air-to-surface weapons evaluation, before undertaking the role of Senior Engineering Officer on 5 Sqn (F3 again) at RAF Coningsby. In 2000, Gilligan moved to Abbey Wood as the ejection seat engineering authority and weapons desk officer for Typhoon. In 2003 and now a wg cdr, Gilligan was embedded with BAES at Warton when MOD Team Leader for Nimrod MRA4 Partnered Support. Short-toured, he undertook Advanced Staff training, graduating with distinction as MA in Defence Studies from KCL. 

Gilligan then returned to the Typhoon Project Team as its Airworthiness Manager, Deputy Project Engineer, and Weapons and Crew Systems Manager. Again short-toured, he was selected as Officer Commanding Forward Support Wing at RAF Aldergrove, his only foray into the murky world of rotary wing, and was responsible for engineering, logistics, transport, fire services, and operations support to 5 aircraft types. In Sep 2008, he embarked to Afghanistan as Chief of Staff for Support on 904 Expeditionary Air Wing, before returning to the UK as the air specialist Capability Strategy Manager in MOD’s Equipment Plan Branch. 

In 2009, Gilligan became Group Captain Salam, the MOD’s project director for the delivery of Typhoon aircraft and support to the Royal Saudi Air Force, where he also provided military advice, negotiated future capability upgrade and support contracts, and assisted the Prime Contractor in strategy development. Gilligan then became 1 Group’s Chief Air Engineer and Gp Capt Support, providing specialist engineering advice to the Operational Duty Holder, managing Total Safety, and being responsible for the engineering standards, practices and regulatory compliance of some 9000 technicians across 6 operating bases of the fast jet, surveillance, and historical fleets. 

In April 2015, he became Deputy Chief of Staff for Air Command, responsible for the business cohesion of the 4-star headquarters including performance and risk management, business continuity, business improvement, decision support, heritage and ceremonial functions; the last 6 months of his tour saw him acting as the Chief of Staff.

He built up his logistics knowledge at Nike, among others in Belgium. At companies such as Thermo Fisher and bol.com, he broadened his experience. At the moment, he is Head of Logistics at Suitsupply. Hans is a fanatical cyclist and conquered the Stelvio pass in Italy the last 4 years while raising money for personalized and tailor made treatment for cancer patients.

Gunnar Adalberth joined UPS in Connecticut, USA in 1990 as an International Marketing Analyst. In 1993, he moved to Frankfurt, Germany and in the following years, gained experience at the company through various positions in marketing, strategy and business development teams throughout Europe. Between 2006 and 2009, Gunnar oversaw the management and growth of UPS’ revenues in the Nordics as Director of Sales. In 2009, he was promoted to the position of UPS Director of Business Development for the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games, managing our relationships with all London 2012 sponsors and stakeholders. Gunnar was named Director of Business Development for the UPS Access Point™ network in 2013. In 2017, Gunnar moved on to become UPS Director of Retail Marketing for Europe, with a particular focus on the B2C and e-commerce sectors. Gunnar was born in Stockholm, Sweden, where he also lives. After spending nearly a decade in leading international Sales teams for multi-million dollar companies like MetaPack, Oracle and MicroStrategy in the Benelux, Nordics and the UK - Ton truly knows what it takes to drive sales revenue as well as how to enlarge a company’s market position. In his current role at MetaPack he supports retailers and global brands to implement a truly Multichannel E-business strategy by offering international trade-lanes and an optimized user experience for consumers when buying online. Nico Nauen joined UPS in 2004 as an account executive in Germany, based in Hamburg. Following an assignment in the sales training department, he was promoted to area sales manager in 2006. He relocated to Neuss, Germany in 2008, where he served as the business development segment manager for North Germany. In 2010, Nico was promoted to sales manager for the Europe North/East District and relocated to Brussels, Belgium. In this position he oversaw Small Package and Freight Forwarding sales. Nico relocated back to Neuss in 2012 and accepted the position of sales manager for Germany. From 2015 to 2017, he worked as senior director, enterprise accounts, for UPS Europe and was based in Brussels. Nico was appointed vice-president, sales, in June 2017. Nico holds a master’s degree from the University of Hamburg and the Goizueta Management Certificate from Emory University.

Nick is the Chief Operating Offier at The Snugg.com, an online retailer of accessories for consumer technology. The Snugg is going truly global with an Asian distribution operation and global online fulfilment. 

Previously, Nick joined George Wimpey working in a transport division, where he gained an interest in Logistics and then moved to BOC Distribution Services (now GIST) as Operations Manager in a chilled food RDC for Marks and Spencer. In his next GIST role, he opened a Global Catering RDC for British Airways at Heathrow, then moved to the Czech Republic as Country Manager, where he implemented transport operations and drinks warehousing for a Dutch Supermarket, then went on to work in Poland, France and The Netherlands. 

He returned to the UK to open a multi temperature RDC for Wincanton Logistics for Iceland Foods in North London. After this 3rd party work, he became Logistics Director for the Firetrap fashion brand, for 10 years. In this, he implemented an origin logistics operation with a ground breaking pick and pack warehouse in Shenzhen, China.
