eTail Delivery offers a great way to learn how different companies are revolutionizing customer delivery in e-commerce. As the first online bulk wholesaler, we have lots to share about Boxed, especially the choices we made along the way to design a simple delivery model that our customers love.

Interplay between bots and customers to place order is a fascinating change that is coming soon. From an operations perspective this will be very fascinating as bots will make interaction with the customer even smoother and reduce a lot of variability that currently exists in the system.

Integrating bots

I’d be curious to know how different companies are currently integrating or preparing to integrate bots in their day to day operations. I also hope to brainstorm different uses cases where bots can help in either reducing cost or improving customer delivery or experience.

My session is going to explain how Boxed designed its fulfillment network which can rapidly scale as we grow and how we consistently delight our customers while reducing cost from the system. We are in the business of shipping really big items and therefore the challenges we face are unique when compared to traditional e-commerce companies.
